4.3 ::: The Lessest Sex

If only its grammar were the only thing wrong about that title...

Peckinpah and Braga were recovering from one of their "post-pixie-stick-snorting" episodes when they realized that Sliders needs more sex (they obviously forgot that "The Breeder" had enough for any show, but...) So, this episode was written.

First of all, the opening has completely changed. Now, they simply show scenes from "The Breeder" (Hey! I guess they did remember it!) to the song "I'm Too Sexy".

Then, Maggie is shown exiting the vortex, with no conclusion to the end of the previous episode. Then, the credits start going crazy, claiming that stars like Anthony Hopkins, Prince William, and even Marilyn Monroe will be in the episode. I'm sure that Peck thought this was REALLY funny...

Maggie soon realizes that this world has forbidden sex (the explanation is that people don't like sex anymore, avoiding any remotely credible explanation... Shakers, etc...).

Of course, Maggie can't live without sex for the whole two weeks she's here (even though we never see her have the timer at all, during the whole episode). So, Maggie decides to run for President. Even though this episode takes place in September of 1998 (not an election year), Maggie is able to run against, once again, Braga (the SAG strike's still on). But to avoid confusion, Braga speaks in a British accent and wears sunglasses (Trust me, if people on this world allow this to be shown, then they will accept this).

So, once again, we have a British person trying to run an American institution (following the great Colonel Rickman), but this time it's the WHOLE COUNTRY... too bad that's not allowed...

The rest of the episode follows Maggie on the campaign trail (If she's only on the world for two weeks, what in the Hell is she doing on the campaign trail?). How does she "campaign"? She sleeps with EVERY important man she sees and walks around in near nothing the whole time!!!!

Then, a month later (I know...) the election takes place...with Maggie winning by popular vote (Peckinbraga forgot about the ol' Electoral College). Then, she's off to the Brick House (They used Peck's Mom's house here, since she was out grocery shopping), where she spends the whole time WATCHING TV (Peck actually inserted clips from other shows here, illegally, but, no one watched, so no one noticed), completely forgetting the point of the episode (I did too... what was the point?)

Then, despite being on this world a month extra and the fact that she's in North Dakota (Somehow, Peck thought this constituted an "alternate history", even though it makes NO SENSE AT ALL!!!), the vortex just opens...

Maggie jumps into the vortex (you see her pass through it and land on her head...bad editing).

Then, for some reason, we see "To Be Continued..."

Why? Only God knows why...
